Horizontal Packing Machine: Efficient and Flexible Packaging Solutions

Jan 17, 2025

The Horizontal Packing Machine is an automatic packaging equipment developed independently for the diversity of packaging materials and adjustability of packaging bag types. The machine adopts a horizontal fully automatic bag-making, filling, and sealing process, hence its name. Its horizontal film-feeding method allows for packaging different bag types and materials according to the properties of the materials, making it suitable for automatic packaging of various powders, sauces, and particles.

Based on the size of the packaging bags, horizontal packing machines can be classified into models 110, 130, 180, 240, and 320. The maximum packaging speed of a single-bag machine can reach 110 bags per minute, while a double-bag machine can reach 220 bags per minute, and a multi-bag machine can reach up to 400 bags per minute.

This machine incorporates technology introduced from Germany and has gradually entered the stage of independent research and development after more than a decade of digestion and absorption. However, due to domestic customers' sensitivity to equipment prices, some manufacturers have adopted cost-saving measures and simplified configurations to enter the market at lower prices, significantly affecting the overall operational efficiency and durability of the equipment.

Horizontal automatic packing machines adopt a filling method where bags are made first and then filled. The filling port can directly reach the bottom of the packaging bag to prevent dust from rising. For extremely fine and easily scattered powder particles, a dust collector and suction device can be added at the top sealing port to suck away any powder adhering to the bag opening. Additionally, horizontal automatic packing machines use horizontal sealing to enhance seal tightness, completely solving the issue of "back-puffing" and ensuring maximum seal tightness, thereby effectively extending the shelf life of the products.

Horizontal packing equipment can meet manufacturers' requirements for adding workstations due to its horizontal bag-feeding feature. During the bag-feeding process, different materials can be loaded into each bag through different filling devices, ensuring the accuracy of the mixture ratio for blended materials. For example, when packaging instant soup mix, powdered materials (such as salt and chicken powder) can be loaded first, followed by granular materials (such as dehydrated vegetables and dehydrated beef) later.

Horizontal packing machines have strong material compatibility and can select corresponding filling devices according to materials with different characteristics to ensure the accuracy of packaging measurements. For manufacturers, choosing packaging equipment suitable for their products is crucial in improving product quality, reducing cost losses, enhancing market competitiveness, and saving production costs.
